What I did here

Confirmed regulatory interpretations and provided professional assistance to the site management team in their daily implementation of the safety program. Performed field observations and audits, provided direction and solutions, and enforced safety standards to ensure compliance with the safety program. Performed Field Investigations of injuries, illnesses, or near misses as well as Prompt Investigations, Common Cause and Root Cause investigations. Performed independent accident evaluations, material/property damage investigations, apparent cause evaluations, prompt investigations, job hazard analysis, safety action plans, and field monitoring reports. Maintained communications with off-site medical facilities, as well as site occupational health and safety regarding cases pending resolution. Interfaced daily with the station safety personnel and safety representatives of other firms providing services on site, gathered lesions learned, and worked cooperatively to continually improve safety performance on site. Prepared and performed safety tailgate meetings and safety training sessions. Provided safety documentation including confined space permits, hot work permits, chemical control and special use permits, as well as various safety signage, prescription drug use forms, MSDS requests, PPE exemptions, employee medical records, and research as required.
