Lisa, Thomas and I spent the day at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. We got there a little after ten and started with photos with Tweety Bird, then Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck by the fountain near the entrance.
We worked our way through the park for hours, past the Hall of Justice and up on a sky ride that gave us a long look down over the whole place, coaster tracks running out in every direction. Lisa and Thomas sat for a photo on the big red bench by the Six Flags sign, then we found a spot on the swing ride for a slow turn above the trees.
We met the Jelly Belly mascot near the shops, and a Looney Tunes rooster on the walkway on the way out. We stayed until almost dark, riding a few more times before heading back for the night.
