Frankenmuth, MI
Visiting the world's largest Christmas store.
960 sq. ft. hotel room. I'll have to thank my travel agent

We drove up to Frankenmuth, timed to the weekend of the Bavarian Festival. Bronner's Christmas Wonderland was the first stop, decorations up in the middle of June, and we posed in one of the big wreaths by the entrance before wandering the aisles.
Downtown we walked out onto the wooden covered bridge over the Cass River, stopped at the Cheese Haus for a photo with the giant mouse out front, and passed the toy soldiers standing guard outside the Castle Shops. I tried on a Bavarian hat in one of the gift shops.

Dinner was the family-style chicken at the Bavarian Inn, in the timbered Austrian Room, chicken and stuffing and all the sides that come with it. After dinner we walked the festival grounds, tents and tables set up along the street for the Bavarian Festival. Lisa signed I love you out the car window on the way back, and we stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Express Frankenmuth.
