Lisa spent the day at John Ball Zoo. She wore a Junior Zookeeper vest for part of the morning and took part in a bird encounter, with a parakeet landing on her arm while she walked the paths.
She visited the petting zoo, saw a great horned owl, a mountain lion and a tiger, and watched the flamingos wading in their pool. Later she rode a camel along a wooded trail led by a zoo handler. The day ended with the reptile house, including a snake exhibit, and the aquarium's coral reef tank.
