Represented station ES&H department in site safety matters over all site work for a staff of 1400 workers to include, but not limited to: ES&H department delegate at daily site direction meeting with station management. Performed heat stress related wet bulb temperature sampling, performed stay time calculations, and disseminated results. Performed atmospheric sampling for Hydrazine (N2H4), Hydrogen, Oxygen (O2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and other combustible/explosive gases. Generated Confined Space Entry permits, to include ‘Permit required' and ‘Alternate Entry' permits. Performed general safety observation walk downs of the Turbine, Auxiliary and Reactor buildings to include but not limited to human performance tools (job briefs, self & peer checking, questioning attitude, procedure use, and effective communication), hazard recognition (line of fire, barriers/barricades, compressed gas, and electrical), housekeeping/material conditions, personal protective equipment, radiological work practices, foreign material exclusion, restraint of transient materials, lifting and rigging, material handling, and fall protection. Coached workers and documented findings. Evaluated station Problem Investigation Program (PIPs /CRs) for ES&H related action items.
