Nickelodeon Suites Resort, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure
Lisa and I flew from Grand Rapids to Orlando by way of Baltimore, leaving the parking ramp at Gerald R. Ford early in the afternoon.
By evening a shuttle bus brought us from Orlando International to Nickelodeon Suites Resort, where a toy soldier stood watch by the entrance. Lisa stopped for a photo with SpongeBob near the lobby before we got our first look at the resort's lit pool for the night.
Lisa and I stayed at Nickelodeon Suites Resort. The day was spent at Universal Studios Florida, including a stop at the Wanted poster cutout for Cat R. Waul and a turn on one of the park's tube slides.
Back at the resort that evening, Donatello came by the pizza restaurant's tables for photos, and the courtyard was decorated and lit for the season. The resort's on-site theater had 4D shows posted, including Dora and Diego's Adventure, and the night ended with a photo by the lit-up SpongeBob statue and a stop to meet Dora and Diego near the lobby.
The day started with a character breakfast back at the resort, Patrick and Dora stopping by the table before the walk over to Universal's Islands of Adventure.
Inside the park the day moved through Marvel Super Hero Island, where Captain America posed for a photo, then on to Jurassic Park, with the stone entrance arch and a look at the park's T-Rex display near the road. Seuss Landing had a police officer statue to climb on, a stop among the Truffula trees, and a game called This Place is for Faces. The Jurassic Park arch was lit up for the evening on the way back out.
Lisa and I flew from Orlando to Grand Rapids by way of Baltimore. Before checking out, there was one more morning at the resort pool, complete with swim goggles and a Hulk mask, and a last look at the resort's water slide tower. The afternoon was spent getting to Orlando International for the evening flight home.
