Primary responsibility was the authoring of the FSS (Final Status Survey) Report, in support of the NRC License Termination. Other Developed FSSPs (Final Status Survey Plan) in accordance with the MARSSIM (Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual) protocol employing the Data Quality Objective (DQO) process to ensure that the type, quantity, and quality of data gathered was appropriate for the DQA (Data Quality Analysis) process and that the resultant decisions were technically sound and defensible. Performed Historical Data Reviews, and Peer Reviews. Determined acceptable Type I and Type II error tolerance levels, LBGR (lower bound of the gray region), and the determination of the Area Factors, and relative shift. Developed multiple DCGLs (Derived Concentration Guidance Levels) for various surfaces and materials. Calculated and assigned DCGL fractions, DCGL surrogates for HTD nuclides, and elevated measurement DCGLs. Calculated MDCRs (Minimum Detectable Count Rate) for various surfaces and materials. Created GPS (global positioning system) and AutoCAD- generated Survey maps. Developed random start systematic grids, and random locations using VSP (Visual Sample Plan) software. Developed prospective and retrospective power curves using MARSSIM Power 2000 and COMPASS software. Reviewed and interpreted radiological analytical data (ISOCS gamma analyses, and analyses for HTD (hard to detect) nuclides and TRUs). Reviewed DQOs and survey designs for consistency between DQO output, sampling design and other data collection documents. Performed statistical analysis of survey data via WRS (Wilcoxon Rank Sum) Test, and Sign Test. Performed ALARA evaluations to determine if additional remediation was warranted. Drew conclusions from the data, and documented any deficiencies and recommendations for improvement. MARSSIM/NRC Reactor D&D.
