Supervised technicians and other skilled labor to ensure safety, quality, and technical excellence, conformance to standards and procedures, and completeness in support of waste management. Packaged, transported, and disposed of radioactive in support of waste management. Packaged, transported, and disposed of radioactive waste in accordance with industry practices and regulations as they relate to the DOT. Coordinated various crafts, labor, and professionals in the performance of hazardous material and/or radioactive waste management activities during fusion reactor D&D project. Conducted routine activities including procedure preparation and review, tier inspections, reviewed radiological surveys, and sample analyses. Prepared technical work documents to support planned activities. Assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Radiological Engineer in his absence, when designated. Generated and audited shipping papers, including activity calculations for shipments. Performed calculations for solidification/stabilization of tritiated water. Performed non -destructive analysis (NDA/ISOCS) via gamma spec using the Genie 2000/Procount software including: Created detector and object specific calibrations, area and density correction algorithms, nuclide libraries, certificate files, as well as unique analysis sequences and reports. Performed data manipulation and analysis. Packaged (solidification of liquid, foam filling void space, and compaction of waste), labeled, and inspected radioactive material for shipment.
