Awesome fun!
Our plane. The New Standard D-25. Only nine D-25s remain in the world. This one is the only plane that holds four passengers in the front cockpit.
The smile says it all. We had an amazing time.
Quotes from Top Gun danced in my head as the kids bounced from fighter jet to fighter jet, "You two characters are going to Top Gun."
Blue Angels.
Barnstormer.
Such a beautiful day for flying.
Impressive collection of planes at the East Campus of the Air Zoo.
Kalamazoo from the air.
Kalamazoo from the wing of the D-25
Crop dusting. It felt like we were going to land in the field and then at the last minute, the pilot pulled us back into the sky.
Future fighter pilot
"Mom! This fighter jet is so cool."
Wing-mounted video camera captured the entire 15-minute flight. Here we are! High above Kalamazoo.

We spent the day at the Air Zoo, and all four of us took an open-cockpit biplane flight with Waldo Wright's Flying Service. Thomas was ready first, cap and goggles on, and we all climbed into the wide front seat together for the ride.

Up in the air we could see the fields spread out below. Back on the ground we walked through the museum, where the kids climbed into a cockpit display.
