Legoland Florida

Surprising the kiddos with a 4:45 a.m. wakeup call. This should be fun. 7:30 flight out of O'Hare to some place awesome. They have no idea. Michael and I stink at keeping secrets but we managed to do it this time. Covertly packed the suitcase with shorts and swim suits and backpacks with snacks and electronics. Now we'll drive through a winter storm around Lake Michigan to Chicago. Look out "some place awesome." The Rennhacks are invading. Merry Christmas kiddos!

Whew!!!! We made it. No time for breakfast or drinks. Good thing I packed the Pringles. Breakfast of Champions.

You can say they are a bit excited. Full VIP experience with our own personal guide, themed room and lots of fun. Merry Christmas kiddos. We love you!

My kids are officially in heaven. Legos and running around like crazy is encouraged.

You know that your day was epic when this is the scene. Lisa with our guide. She would not let me do anything except have fun. She carried drinks in her bag, made sure we were all fed and hydrated, guided us from one attraction to another (including a private session with a master model maker) and left us with memories for a lifetime. Along with Lisa's two interpreters, they became honorary members of the #TravelingRennhacks. My feet are tired and my heart is full. Both are signs of a great vacation. The VIP package is the way to go.

Frontier line. Cancelled and delayed flights. Patience is key today. Control the controllables and keep smiling. You're stuck in Florida, not the inner circles of Dante's Inferno.

93 degree "real feel" temperature swing. 88 with the heat index in Tampa. -5 with the wind chill at home.

Frontier is a hot, hot mess. Denver flight sat for 3 hours while they tried to locate the flight crew. They were stuck in Denver. The gate attendant had to use her own cell phone to call the corporate office and locate them. The flight may leave or it may be cancelled. While I don't condone yelling at customer service people, corporations MUST do a better job of supporting their customer-facing employees. The poor gate agent is taking all kinds of abuse from people who want answers. It's bordering on Jerry Springer in here.
