Late but landed. Now on to Flight #2 and some Dramamine.
Still in Chicago. They forgot to inspect our first plane last night. All passengers got off the plane and moved to a new gate. Boarded half of the flight and then found out there is too much traffic in the Gulf of Mexico. Now we wait for another 90 minutes. Good times!
Wahoo!!! Another 15 minutes waiting for our gate to open and we are off to our adventure!

Day 2Sunday, January 8, 2017
Las Isletas · Granada · Masaya Volcano · Catarina Lookout
Border control Nicaragua. Bring your own toilet paper. You don't get any in the bathroom.
Pit stop on the way back to Costa Rica from Nicaragua. Perfect end to an incredible day.
A fantastic day filled with new friends, adventures and a sunset reminder about being fearless in the pursuit of those things that set my soul on fire.
I found my tribe on a 13-hour excursion to Nicaragua. Personal stories, business tips galore, networking and most of all, friendship. It was my favorite day of the entire trip. So many incredible memories with these amazing people. Safe travels home my friends. It's not goodbye. It's until we meet again.

Awake at 3:30 on vacation because I have an internal alarm that goes off every day at this time. Convinced my body to go back to sleep until 6:00. There are no lunches to pack or kids to get ready for school. Only sun, fun and zip lining through the jungle on the agenda for today. I did manage to run a few business reports, crunch some numbers and lock in a few projections. I need my daily dose of data slicing and dicing. A well caffeinated and data-fueled Kathy is a happy Kathy. Now, if room service could hustle on that coffee, we would be golden!
About to conquer my fear of heights. Why? Because I'm a beast! Zip lining, here we come! Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Nothing says relaxation after a hard day of painting, staining and planting like sipping a mocha poolside. I'm bringing the family here. It is truly paradise.

Final day in paradise. After an all-day excursion to Nicaragua, zip lining through the jungle and a day of painting at our service project, today is all about enjoying the resort amenities and relaxing. Tomorrow I fly back home to my awesome hubs and kiddos. I've missed them and appreciate Michael taking the reigns so that I could claim my award and fuel my passion for the current Greece incentive. A cruise of the Greek Isles in June? Yes please! I'm a cruise-a-holic! I can do it.
Clouds and sprinkles on my one pool day. But it's 80 degrees and not a snowflake in sight. I may not come back tan but I'm coming back relaxed and renewed.

One exhausted but very grateful, happy and fulfilled traveler on the bus heading to the airport. I will miss this resort, the friends I have made, the adventures and the food. I am looking forward to squeezing my family and approaching both my business and home life with a renewed zeal. Thank you to my customers, my team, Perfectly Posh and my husband Michael D Rennhack for making all of this possible. Trip of a lifetime.
Breakfast of champions. Detox starts tomorrow. Farewell Costa Rica.
3.5 hour delay. I'm betting they will cancel and I'll spend the night in Atlanta. I will be the calm in the storm. We don't scream, demand or makes fools of ourselves. My kids are not here but little eyes are watching and little ears are listening all around. Smile, go with the flow and remember that I am coming home from the trip of a lifetime. This is a first world setback.
Left the resort in Costa Rica at 4:15 this morning. 13 hours later and I'm sitting at the gate in Atlanta waiting for my 2-hour flight to South Bend. It has been delayed another hour until 7:00. I'm so tired. Will I see my own bed by 10:00 p.m.? I sure hope so! That drive from South Bend to the house will be rough. WAY past my functional happy time.
17 hours of busses, planes and airports today. I am so glad to be home. No more adventures until we take the family to Europe in June? Nah. Who am I kidding? Give me a few days. I'll be ready for more passport stamp collecting. It's how I roll
