Michigan's Adventure, Muskegon, MI
Oooh. Roller coasters!
These crazies are my world.
They've tackled some of the biggest, baddest roller coasters around the world and yet they still find pure joy in taking a seat in the front row of a kiddie coaster at Michigan's Adventure. They fill my heart.
Thomas wanted to ride Shivering Timbers a second time last night but the rest of us were all coastered out so he decided to ride it by himself...twice! Mind you, it has a height of 122 ft. and a drop of 107 ft. It reaches speeds of 57 mph and is over a mile long. I'm never quite sure whether to be proud or terrified that my kids kick fear in the teeth. Just promise me no alligator wrestling or walking a tightrope over the Grand Canyon. The rest I can handle.

We spent the day at Michigan's Adventure, left for a while in the afternoon, and came back in the evening for a few more rides before the park closed.
The ride cameras caught us on Shivering Timbers, the park's wooden coaster, more than once, and again on Loggers Run and on Zach's Zoomer with the kids. Lisa and Thomas stopped for a photo with Snoopy, and later that evening the four of us posed together at the Peanuts mural. Lisa and I got a quiet photo together too, away from the rides.
