Breakfast at Central Hotel Shanghai was quick, croissants and eggs, before a car took us over a big cable-stayed bridge to Shanghai Disneyland. We got to the park right around opening and stopped for photos by the tenth anniversary sign near the entrance.

Lisa and I had Disney Premier Access booked on fifteen attractions, so we moved through the park all day without much time in line. We started at the castle, then wandered into Treasure Cove for the pirate ship and the skull rock out in the lagoon, and through the Alice in Wonderland maze with the giant Queen of Hearts fountain. In the early afternoon a parade came down the street with Mickey, Pooh, and the rest of the characters, and we found a spot along the rail to watch it. Lunch was burgers and onion rings at one of the counter-service spots.
By early evening we were down by the lagoon again, Lisa in a pirate hat for a photo, and later picked up two big stuffed bears from one of the shops. Once it got dark the castle lit up for the fountain and light show, pink and blue and gold against the sky.
Shanghai Disneyland is truly the happiest place on earth.
Disneytown, Shanghai
After the park we walked out to Disneytown for the shops, and Lisa found a soft robe she liked. We finished the night under the lit-up Mickey ear arches and the big glowing Donald Duck before heading back to the hotel. This was the last day of the group tour. From here it is just the two of us through Hong Kong and Singapore.
