What I did here

Performed as Bartlett Site Supervisor alternate in his absence. Generated an end of outage safety report. Attended daily safety meetings with plant management, as well as plant safety representatives. Assessed conditions, trends, operational experience and other issues for high risk activities. Recommend preventative measures, methods of detection, corrective measures, and assigned safety oversight to high risk activities. Analyzed safety observations, behavior trends, action items, injuries, housekeeping status, challenges and issues needing utility assistance, and reported findings to plant safety and trending representatives. Discussed with Bartlett employees the safety guiding principles, safety topics, standards and bulletins. Discussed high risk activities, operational experience, and preventative measures. Encouraged employees to raise safety concerns and observations, and gave appreciative feedback and kudos when appropriate. Performed investigations into safety observations by employees and took follow up action. Evaluated adequacy of actions taken to correct deficiencies. Performed walkthrough inspections of the facility several times per shift to insure adherence to safety procedures. Interviewed workers to obtain information about work environments. Responded to injured workers, and filled out reports on injuries. Performed notifications in the event of an occupational injury, as per plant procedure and Bartlett's On Call Notification Procedure. Performed investigations into accidents and injuries to determine causes and preventive measures. Compiled, analyzed, and interpreted statistical data related to safety. Performed rapid event responses and rapid trending. Initiated Action Requests and Work Requests when needed. Maintained liaisons with other safety professionals and plant safety organizations. Conducted testing of air quality, noise, and temperature levels when requested.
